Cefuroxime inhibits the final protein synthesis in bacterial cell wall, thus inhibiting biosynthesis (growth) thereby leading to the bacterial cell damage and death. Cefakind is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of conditions such as Lyme disease; infections of the ears, lungs, urinary tract, etc. caused by bacteria.
