Nutritional Deficiency

The body requires many different vitamins and minerals that are crucial for both body development and preventing disease. These vitamins and minerals are often referred to as micronutrients. They aren’t produced naturally in the body, so you have to get them from your diet.

A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body doesn’t absorb or get from food the necessary amount of a nutrient. Deficiencies can lead to a variety of health problems. These can include digestion problems, skin disorders, stunted or defective bone growth, and even dementia.

Warnings and Precautions

Low initial Cyanocobalamin (Polybion-LC) doses combined with potassium supplementation (as needed) may prevent a hypokalemia seen in patients with severe deficiency.

Patients with pernicious anemia are unusually subject to gastric polyps and have approximately twice the normal incidence of stomach cancer. Because of this, some experts recommend frequent stool guaiac examinations and further diagnostic studies when indicated.

In patients suspected of Cyanocobalamin (Polybion-LC) sensitivity an intradermal test dose of parenteral Cyanocobalamin (Polybion-LC) should be performed prior to initiating therapy with Cyanocobalamin (Polybion-LC) nasal spray or gel.

Hypersensitivity to the medicine or its ingredients

Patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunctions

Caution when used in pregnancy
