Anemia : It is caused by below normal levels of Haemoglobin in the blood which causes weakess, hairloss, pale skin, etc. Haematinics (medicines that increase Hb level in blood), are usually prescribed along with multivitamin and multimineral supplements.

 

Acne: It is a skin disorder caused due to faulty food or bowel habits. Normally affects teenage boys and girls, however adult acne is also seen post 35-40 yrs of age. Nutritional deficiencies are also found to be causing acne which need supplementation.

 

Fatigue/ weakness: Usually occurs when energy expenditure is high than production  in the body. Energy requirements change with different stages, more so in varied patient groups like in elderly, teens, pregnant women etc. Hence, nutritional supplements are prescribed to promote for extra energy production.

Warnings and Precautions

Before using Zincovit Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Administration of folic acid alone is improper therapy for pernicious anemia and other megaloblastic anemias in which vitamin B12 is deficient

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Zincovit Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Zincovit Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:

 

  • Abrasions
  • Acute dermatitis
  • Acute eczema
  • Allergic reactions
  • Allergic to selenium
  • Anemia
  • Bleeding disorder
  • Breastfeeding
  • Copper-deficient patients
  • Cuts

Drug Interactions

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Zincovit Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Zincovit Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:

 

  • Actinomycin
  • Alcohol
  • Alendronate
  • Allopurinol
  • Amiodarone
  • Anti-diabetic drugs
  • Arsenic trioxide
  • Ascorbic acid
  • Aspirin
  • Atorvastatin

Overdosage

Storage

Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
